Default Teams with the most annoying fans

Steelers- Yeah, I know, your third cousin twice removed is from altoona so you are allowed into steeler "nation" although you live in Detroit. If they did an IQ test for a team's average fan, I would bet good money they finish last...by a LOT.

Red Sox- We didn't hear about any Red Sox Nation for over 80 years. They win a few world series and next thing you know Red necks in tennessee are wearing Dustin Pedroia jerseys.

Celtics and Lakers fans- Basketball is the ultimate bandwagon sport. Kobe is 33 and Phil is about to retire. Wonder how many laker fans will be out there next time they get bad and there is no jerry west around to help them out.

Duke fans- At the top of my personal list. Their coach looks like a rat. I hate duke and it would take a separate topic to list all the reasons.

Eagle fans- Newsflash guys. Your teams have been bad over the years more times than they have been good. Eagles fan will look back on the Mcnabb/reid era as the glory days when the next Rich Kotite comes in and they are 2-16 (accounting for new 18 game schedule). Having said all of that, eagles fans are pretty scary and I would only voice this opinion on the internet.

And guess what Dala, I was always right about McNabb. Luckily for me, you got to experience it first hand this year, instead of forming opinions with little knowledge. As for the Eagles run, it was a lot more the Brian Dawkins / Jim Johnson era than it ever was the McNabb/Reid era.

Is it possible, maybe, that Mcnabb's skills might have deteriorated and the player he was last year was not the player that the eagles had during their run? Maybe? I saw Mcnabb play just as much in Philly as I did over this past season. No doubt, he is not the same player.

Andy Reid has made the playoffs the last two years with no dawkins or johnson. The most amazing stat to me about Reid is that he is undefeated after a bye week. What does that say about a coach? They have been relevant for nearly his entire era. What were they before he got there? Every year they contend for the division title and every now and then they contend for a super bowl. He is the best coach Philly has had during the superbowl era.

McNabb's skills have been going downhill since the superbowl in 2004. He had many injuries, and is maybe 1/5th the player he was from 00-04. The thing is, he may be the most overrated QB of the past 20 years (along with Favre, but at least he won a superbowl).

The Eagles D is what made that team really good from 00-04.

Believe me, McNabb was the same QB for you as he was for the eagles since '05. Sure he had better stats, but his O-line was MUCH better.

He threw the ball into the ground non stop. Extremely inaccurate. He cant run a 2 minute drill and he absolutely sucks under pressure. If you are down in the 4th Q, never expect a comeback.

He is what I though he was.

Andy Reid's Early exits in the past two playoffs are nothing to mention as a good thing. Eagles collapsed late last year and in 09. Its really nothing to brag about.

Reid may be one of the best coaches out there as far as preparing his team to play. Thats why they are undefeated after the bye week. I think he's a great manager of football operations. But check him out on Sunday during the 3 hours when they play, and it is scary scary scary. He'd be a great coach if he ever decided to not throw the ball 70% of the time and get someone else for clock management / challenge flag thrower.

But you are very wrong about McNabb, he was the same guy this year as he was the past 5 years. It was highway robbery that we got the draft picks that we got for him. Unbelievable really. I read that Washington was the only team to offer a 2nd round pick for him. Other teams were offering 4th rounders.

Steeler fns have gotten a bit annoying but I can't put them in the whiny level of Cowboy or Jets fans.

Red Sox have a bunch of bandwagon jumpers but they are tame compared to Yankee fans who are about the worst there is.

Laker and Celtic fans are generally just front runners who we wont be hearing much from in a year or two. And Chris Wallace helped out the current LA squad more than Jerry West did

I hear a lot of shi t about Duke fans but I have to admit I dont know any or any that openly they are Duke fans. KY basketball fans are so over the top bad I can't imagine any could be worse.

USC fans are generally intolerable (see Smooth Operator)
Notre Dame fans have been pretty quiet lately but they generally suck

i was in burlington, ca in 1994 and after the superbowl was driving to my hotel when a guy chucked a beer bottle at my car.

i pulled over to calmly discuss the situation which as i recall was me shouting something along the lines of "what the ****?!?" to which he answered "niners, dude!"

he was a very annoying fan.

I forgot about Dame fans. Dame fans are much like Duke fans. Although, the difference is that Dame is like the adopted college football team of every catholic in New York City. That in itself makes them pretty annoying.

Go to any bar on the eastern seaboard at tourney time with a white male dominated demographic between the ages of 30-45 and you tell me that Duke fans aren't extremely annoying. I guess maybe knowing that the non alumni fan base is cheering for an elitist program run by that whining ratface makes me a little bitter. Maybe its the way they pound the floor and do that stupid huddle.

Go to Fenway with a yankees jersey and then go to yankee stadium with a sox jersey and you tell me which fan is more annoying. The Yankee fan is no doubt much more cruel but the sox fan is much more annoying.
