Another Brilliant Rail Project
Say it ain't so!
IL Gov. Quinn (DEM) wants to explore the possibility of building a rail way from Union Station (west loop) of Chicago to O'Hare. So in lieu of having passengers walk 2 blocks S. on Canal to the Clinton St. stop of the Blue Line (el service that goes right into O'Hare's basement) this idiot wants to build probably 100 bridges (unless he's going to hold up loop traffic for trains LMAO) and save people the 2 block walk? BTW once you arrive at O'Hare it is more than a 2 block walk just to get to the basement of the ticketing terminal, then up a floor to get checked in and another 2 block to 1 mile walk to your gate so the handicapped and elderly aren't even a part of this brain fart. http://www.chicagotribune.com/classi...2409533.column

Daley's express el from Block 37 to O'Hare seems a whole lot cheaper and at least logistically a better option.

Plus if it's a Sunday, you have a 2 hr wait at J Park between trains. The important part of this to me isn't the Loop-ORD piece, but being able to get on a train in the city and end up in St Louis 3 hrs later with one train change and no airplanes
