Default New Low From CDI/CRC Mgmt (Update: Restriction lifted)

In the latest attempt to not get squeezed for dates by Gulfstream, John Marshall and his Churchill bretheren have told the Calder stabled horsemen that if they enter and ship a horse to run at Gulfstream, it will not be allowed back on to Calder property.

Who do these imbeciles think they are really punishing with this brainstorm ?

Churchill Management, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the lowest of the low.

This was told to the horsemen at a meeting that just ended.

They know that there will always be a bunch of cheap horses to run in South FL. CDI's corporate policy is screw the horseman at every turn because they are too stupid to really do anything about it. Sadly they are probably right

Earlier on Thursday, Calder vice president and general manager John Marshall said Calder plans to amend its dates request and run four days a week from July 1 through the first week of January 2012. In it previous dates application, Calder had requested a three-day race week during that period.

“We have decided to run four days a week out of respect to the owners needs and to sustain healthy participation for our racing program throughout the summer and fall,” Marshall said.

What a sport. So now the owners needs are important again but they arent going to be allowed to race for the next 2 months...
