According to the Timeform (I think it was them) ratings a few weeks ago, it would be Quality Road.

Otherwise, it doesn't really matter, since there are about 10 3yos that have far greater upside than any of the elders.

Inherit the Gold.

Kidding. But he's a cool horse.

With the bigger stakes thus far being uninspiring, I would think Misremembered is poised to be the top older horse if he wins the Oaklawn Handicap, at least for the first half of the year. He looked very good in the Santana Mile.

However, his very slow work this week tacked on to his past litany of "physical issues" makes that Oaklawn victory (or even appareance) far from a done deal.

I suppose S.S. Stone will point for the Alysheba and there is no more Pimlico Special (I think), so it might be a while before he runs in a race of major consequence.

There's so many good older horses, it's very hard to single out the best one.

Twirling Candy, Gio Ponti and Haynesfield are my top three older horses as of now.

I'd probably go with the two Sadler Candy horses myself.
