Colonial Downs is back
2011 Meet starts tonight.
Massive fields. .50 cent pick 3's and 4's, and still the only track I have seen take a race and move it off the dirt to turf 5 p.m. posts on Wed, Thurs and Sat. 12:55 post on Sundays. |

First two legs of the pick 4, the winners pay $64.80 and $34.00. That will most likely ensure a 3 of 4 payoff.

In a more shocking development, 4 races into the 2011 meet, Lucie Herkova has already hit the board twice.
For those of you unaware of what that really means, it is the equivalent of Chuck winning the Triple Crown with Hacker Craft. For those of you unaware of who the mighty Hacker Craft is, GFY. |

For your information, the pick 4 was hit. It paid $1,393 for .50 after a $5.40 and $3.00 winner in the last 2 legs.

After the first 3 days, I'm gonna have to call an audible for this meet, or at least drop back and punt. This is the worst group of jocks ever assembled at a single meet. They are flat awful. The drivers from the fall harness meet could do better than these clowns. Other than VA Derby Day, I will cease throwing money at this meet for this year.

Some of those pick 3's are paying real nice. Now if I can just hit one.

If these tracks would start paying out 3 of 4 consos, I'd more than likely be showing a flat bet profit.

I don't know if Turf Paradise still does it but they used to take races off the dirt and move them to turf.
