Great to see there is finally a race for her...now how do I break the news to my wife that Ausable runs at 5:30pm while at 6pm we are due at a wedding reception 75 miles away! Anyone got any good suggestions??????

Better to be fashionably late then a no show?

Fashionably late is always the best way to go in these cases if possible. If it's all or none in terms of being on time, I've found unless the skipping the event leads to a big score where they can shop from it, the wives are never happy, so the safe bet is to go to the wedding and catch the replay when you get back probably.

To Cannon and Well...
thanks for the advice...got the ok from the wife to first go see Ausable run and then show up at the reception a bit late after working out some details to get her to the wedding/reception on time...this is the same wonderful lady who agreed 36 years ago to stop off at the Saratoga Harness track the night of our wedding so we could watch my horse run Hud |
