And when the heck is Malibu Moon going to get back to the races? He sure seemed to show a lot of promise.

Good question. He was injured. I think he came back and ran at Hollywood once after that. TB Pedigree says "Retired in May 2007 and gelded" They paid like 2 million for him as a two-year-old, I recall, some outrageous amount.

$4.5 million. Per the LA Times: "After [breaking his maiden], he became the favorite in some future books for the Kentucky Derby and jockey Victor Espinoza was quoted as saying he could be "the best horse ever."" Hmm.

I think he was a pinhook by Robert LaPenta, as was Stay Thirsty.

I remember Baffert had a horse named Work for James McIngvale, i believe he was a 950k purchase. Apparently before he had his first race he was already running and training like something special, Baffert went as far to say that this was his Derby horse and one of his most talented, Work was even given a nickname that I am forgetting right now. Before you know it something wrong happened and he never panned out, last I remember of him he was running in a cheap claimer at Mountaineer.
