Default Pack your pistol anywhere, in the open.

Quote:
The endless arguments about where you can and can't carry a concealed handgun are just silly. Yes, you should be able to wear your revolver or pistol anywhere you damn well please, including to church.

We should be able to wear our handguns openly anywhere, including to the emergency room to check on friends wounded by gunshots and to church for the funerals of those killed by shots.

Yes, this column is crazy. About as crazy as allowing concealed weapons into parks where our children play.

Default McDonnell signs repeal of one-gun-a-month law

One gun a month is not enough for the average person?...12 guns a year, why does anyone - other than criminals - need with all those guns?...what am i missing here?..

Quote:
The governor's action came days after he spoke by phone with some family members of the victims of the Virginia Tech shootings, who on Tuesday expressed disappointment with the governor's decision

"Governor McDonnell saw the wisdom of this law as a legislator. In our conversation with him on Saturday, he didn't offer a single rational explanation for getting rid of it," said Lori Haas, mother of Emily Haas, who was injured in the April 16, 2007, massacre, when student Seung-Hui Cho killed 32 students and teachers.

"When gun dealers can sell more guns without limits, they get the cold, hard cash and we get more dead bodies."

Quote:
Rep. James P. Moran, D-8th, on Tuesday noted that the fifth anniversary of the Tech shooting is approaching, and that this week three students died in a school shooting in Ohio.

"This senseless violence will only continue unabated unless there's a political price to pay for such reckless legislating," he said.

I'm sure there are people out there who collect guns. I guess they should only be getting one per month.

that law in unconstitutional... that's the problem.

what business is it of you or anyone how many guns are purchased in a month? you really want to go down that path?

after all, how often do you eat out a month? perhaps it's excessive? how often do you go to mcdonalds? your cholesterol might be too high because of that. perhaps you're costing your fellow medical insureds money because you're a higher risk. it might be best for the greater good that we count how many burgers you eat.

hey, bob. how many horses do you own now? shouldn't five racehorses be enough? think of how many people you could help if you gave that money to the needy.

do i need to continue?

i own more than a dozen guns-i've yet to feel the need to break a law, and don't anticipate that changing. criminals already break laws without any compunction-you think a gun law changes that attitude they have? i don't.

one gun per month is the extreme liberal policy.

Now, for another example. The extreme conservative policy

Rick Santorum is the Prez -

People are only allowed to have sex once per month. the law will drastically reduce unwanted pregnancies and STD transmission. it's best for the people!

At my age, that might be called "frequent flying."

You have more than a dozen guns, wow...remind me if i say something offense...I own one gun, a 30 year old .22 rifle, all i need to shoot those critters eating in my garden...Don't know what i'd do with a dozen of those, maybe sell them to some respectable local people...

What do you think about this other VA bill that passed..and why can't women have more than one abortion a month...Guns have more rights than women?..

Senate approves bill to require ultrasound for abortion..

Quote:
Women who want to have an abortion in Virginia will first be required to submit to an ultrasound under precedent-setting legislation that narrowly passed the Virginia Senate on Tuesday.

Conservative Republicans in the evenly divided chamber, with the help of two anti-abortion Democrats, dismissed warnings from women's rights groups and national ridicule from late-night comedians (Jon Stewart) to approve the bill on a 21-19 vote.

er, what medical condition would that be if a woman managed to get pregnant more than once in a month? i've posted elsewhere about va, i think their stupid bill is ridiculous.

as for the guns, they're all different, and have their own uses. we've won a few at nwtf turkey banquets as well, so they weren't exactly planned...

have a 22 my dad gave me, a few guns tony inherited from his grandfather...muzzleloaders, .270's, a 30-30 when we found out winchester was discontinuing making the model 94, shotguns in various gauges. he uses the 12, me the 20. then he bought a turkey gun, but we haven't killed the first bird-unless you count with a windshield!
bought a taurus judge last year for about half the market value at a banquet-love that thing, great for reducing stress.

but i'm losing, or have lost my hunting desire. haven't bought a license in 3 years.

I feel the same way about the abortion.

the Supreme Court spoke. Roe vs Wade has already been decided. Leave it alone!!!

I find it funny in a gross way how the pro life folks are so anti welfare. it's okay to have starving, homeless, unwanted kids.. but no abortions!!

Sadly, big government takeover with mandated healthcare that deliberately increases cost to the patient. Thanks, Virginia GOP, for thinking you know better than physicians and their patients, and for getting in the middle of the exam room. Un-effing-believable. We live in a theocracy.

PS - nice buck. I don't hunt with guns. But my ex-office manager used to get bow season on deer and turkey off every year. It was in his contract <g>
