Default Favorite Movie Lines...

Others are talking about it on another thread, just thought I would start one.

One I use everyday when I leave work is

"Well, I'm off like a dirty shirt!"

Not my fave movie line, but one I use everyday.

The way the Dude looks around when he asks what day it is... a sort of "been here before bewilderment". That should be frozen in time.

Bonnie: No that just Ule. He is a Nihilist.

The Dude (as Ule, passed out, drops the bottle of liquor off the raft he is floating on in the pool): Ahhhh. That must be exhausting.

From As Good As It Gets:

"What's the difference in a woman and a man....just take away reason and accountability." (calm down ladies. just kidding.)

From The Unforgiven:

"Yeah, I'm William Munny and I've killed women and children and everything that walks or runs or flies and I'm here to kill Little Bill."

"Well, what do you do Will, do you just use your hand?" (Ned)

"I think I'm gonna go down there and get me one of them sportin' women." (Ned)

"I ain't no killer like you guys. All I ever did was hit a Mexican in the head with a shovel once." ( the Schofield Kid)

"I said it was the Duck(duke) of Death." (Little Bill)

"I don't deserve to die, I didn't have it coming." (Little Bill)

"We all got it coming." (William Munny)

There are lots of lines I use pretty regular. "Beat like a red-headed stepchild" was always a favorite.

Move lines though? That's tough. I could name 1,000.

I'll start with "Look ma, top of the world!"

I seriously think Anchorman is probably the most quotable movie I've seen in a while. ANother great but somewhat obscure movie with a ton of great lines is the Right Stuff.

"The issue here ain't monkey. The issue here is p*ssy."

Favorite quote from Anchorman has to be:
"And that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in the middle of a vicious cockfight" or
"...But he said no you can't have and interview with her she is a live bear and will literally rip your face off"

So many other good ones too.

I have a million favorites..

Dazed and Confused (Wooderson) "That's what I like about high school girls, I get older- they stay the same age"

Let it Ride (Trotter) "Do I think Charity can win?? Well, I am wearing yesterday's suit..."

Old School (Mitch) "Sometimes you think you've found true love, then you catch the early flight home from San Diego and find two nude people in the closet ready to double team your girlfriend like some Goddamn magic trick"

Swingers "You're so money"

Caddyshack (AL) "Park my car, get my bag...and put on some weight"

Caddyshack (Carl) "So I got that going for me...which is nice"

The Jerk (Navin) "He hates these cans!!"

Stripes "Any you guys touch me, and I'll kill you"

Airplane "Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue."

Butch Cassidy "Who are those guys?"

Spaceballs "You're my brother's fathers, cousin's, sister's former roomate"

The Cowboys "We're burning daylight"

I could go on all day with this stuff.

somer, every time i hear someone ask 'do you mind if i smoke' i remember that movie.....and that line.

i always liked 'you're gonna need a bigger boat' from jaws, an ad-libbed line by the way!

another is 'it's business, not personal' from the godfather.

'what momma don't know...' from the waterboy.

"There's nothing I love better than a dumb blonde with Daddy's plastic."

Elle:Oh Warner, do you remember when we spent those four amazing hours in the hot tub together after winter formal?

Warner Huntington III: Uhh, ye... no

Elle: Well this is so much better than that. Excuse me, I have some shopping to do.

One of the greatest opening lines ever:

"There was no way in all the world I could have known that murder sometimes can smell like honeysuckle."- Double Indemnity
