Vice Presidential Debate
Paul Ryan already the butt of Twitter and media jokes, as it was revealed his team demanded Ryan be called "Mr. Ryan", rather than "Congressman Ryan", to distance him from the 9% Congressional approval rating.
Seriously. He's hiding from being a Congressman. You can't make this up. So take a drink every time Biden "slips" and calls him "Congressman" LOL

Biden is a good speaker: believable, blue collar, quiet, quite passionate about woman's issues. And he's sharp.

Not that it matters but really? Is he?

Honestly I think the only thing he needs to do is to not mess up with some ridiculous comment (which of course, for comedy sake, I hope he does). |

Biden surprised me tonight. I underestimated him. I was expecting Ryan to easily win the debate. Now that the debate is over, I would have to give Biden the edge. I didn't like the way Biden was constantly laughing while Ryan was speaking. I'm not sure how the public will react to that.
So much of what it comes down to is how much passion the candidate shows and how confident the candidate sounds about what he is saying. I felt that Biden came off as more confident and more passionate. I was expecting totally the opposite. In deciding who won a debate, I think It really comes down to who was more persuasive. I felt Biden was a little more persuasive. However, I did feel that Ryan's closing statement was his best argument. It was the argument that Obama's policies have failed and that Obama doesn't have a good plan to turn things around. More and more spending might help a little bit in the short run but in the long run it's a disaster. We are just going further and further into debt. |

Anyone else think it's funny that Romney and Ryan flat out refuse to answer how their tax cuts are going to work out mathematically?

dodging the question is easier than saying 'well, it doesn't work mathematically'. like stewart said the other day, romney is 'a wizard'!!

Biden only laughed when Ryan was lying or dissembling. Ouch.

Also I particularly enjoyed Biden dissing the prescription drug benefit for seniors after he had promoted it and the saving seniors will have.
He knew that he f.ucked up too and slightly recoiled at what he was saying. The sign of a borderline senile person. |
