![]() Executive editor Eric Bates told Obama that he had asked his six-year-old if there was anything she wanted him to say to the president … She said: 'Tell him: You can do it.'" Obama replied: "You know, kids have good instincts. They look at the other guy and say, 'Well, that's a bullshitter, I can tell'.

Never mind whatsoever that this "private" conversation was with the editor of Rolling Stone, either during or right after an interview - either way he knew his comments weren't off the record.... That makes me lol a little bit. |

If you are offended at that term used by a President in private, for gosh sakes please don't read up about Lyndon Johnson, John Kennedy, Richard Nixon or George W. when they met with Congress and their Cabinets!

![]() Yes, of course. Except when they are talking privately to a roomful of rich donors at a fundraiser and the dems get hold of it and make political hay out of it for a month. That's different.

Romney-Ryan was just rated by Politifact (or FactCheck, I forget which) as speaking over 50% lies. Romney is a bullshitter! Whole concepts relating that you think 47% of your fellow citizens "will never take responsibility for their lives" and are freeloaders is hardly the same thing - and it ends your presidential hopes. And rightly so.

Obama didn't say, "There's that major-league ******* from the NY Times" as President George W Bush did in public at a campaign rally. Obama didn't say, "Dan Rather is a bastard" as President George HW Bush did in public at a press conference. Quote:
Your outrage at Obama using the term "bullshi.tter" pretty funny, considering that Obama is considered by all around him to surprisingly be pretty profanity-free and polite, especially compared to George W (who had one hell of a potty mouth, all the time). And that doesn't even approach Lyndon Johnson, who talked profanity to the press all the time.
