Naw. That's a lot of false generated hysteria. Go off the fiscal cliff. Let it all expire. So what? Because in January, you simply pass the tax cuts we need, and restore the financing we want, retroactive to January 1.
Everyone who is against huge spending and for deficit reduction should embrace jumping off the cliff, then simply restoring what we truly need.
The GOP knows that the Dems have them over a barrel. The Dems have to do ... exactly zero. They do not have to take any actions at all. Let it all expire. Then, let the GOP be the party to deny giving middle class and poor people tax cuts. Let the GOP deny funding the military.
You will hear lots of screaming from the GOP about potential disaster in the next 7 weeks. The Dems will just laugh. Because they hold all the cards. Every. Single. One. The GOP was played, and now they realize it.
