Default If you thought the Derby Point System was poorly devised...

The Kentucky Oaks point system is much worse ...

However, Churchill Downs even managed to somehow top the both of them with its point system for the 'Road to the Roses' Fantasy Game.

According to the current leaderboard...

Mardar Farms Stable is ranked #1 on the Road to the Roses leaderboard right now with 600 points.

Here is the leading stable in all of it's glory:

It's a six horse stable, of six different horses that are all named Verrazano. Well played, sir.

Derby Trail poster 3Kings currently has the top scoring stable in the contest that doesn't have multiple entries.

Horse 1:
Revolutionary
Horse 2:
Goldencents
Horse 3:
Flashback
Horse 4:
Verrazano
Horse 5:
Orb
Horse 6:
Normandy Invasion
Nice going man ... your six horses ran 1-2 in the Santa Anita Derby. 1-2 in the Wood. 1st in the Florida Derby and 1st in the Louisiana Derby.

Thanks. It it will probably be a shame that my only worthwhile horse racing opinions will be registered worthless by someone thinking outside of the box.

It was a brilliant strategy by whoever did it, if they let it stand.

I can't imagine they will though.

Are you going this year? BT and l will have the half acre roped off on the backstretch as always.

"It has come to our attention that certain players of RTTR have opted
for a strategy that features the selection of one horse for multiple
positions in their stable(s). Although, CDI did not envision players
utilizing this strategy it is completely allowed under the RTTR Official Rules.

As with any product launched by Churchill Downs we are always looking for ways
to refine and improve game play for our players. Rest assured that we will
carefully assess this strategy and its place in future versions of RTTR."

Thank you ,
Customer Service

LOL!

If Verrezano finishes 3rd or better in the Kentucky Derby this guy is a lock to win it all.

Think about that for a second ... in order to win the entire contest, all he needed was for an odds-on favorite to win the Wood Memorial and for him to comeback and run 3rd or better in the Kentucky Derby.

That's what Churchill Downs gets for hiring marketing people to do something that involves common sense and an understanding of horse racing.
