Joel Rosario's mount slices up the rail to get up at 7/1.

A little curious why guys like Rosario, Castallano, and Johnny V are riding Gulfstream's card today?

Not sure, but if all those horses actually run Saturday at calder(100 entries I believe), there's not gonna be anybody left to run at either track for the next month.

Was a GP Monday for a bit. They had a bigger crowd than they expected and were pleased with the all sources handle. Was still strange as can be to be there at all.

Mike Welsch on ATR tomorrow to update on the situation but Stronach Group and CDI have been talking continuously and there is speculation that there will be some resolution after Summit of Speed Saturday. A big hangup in the original scenario of Stronach buying Calder is the infrastructure (barns specifically) at CRC which need a total overhaul. Another discussion apparently has Gulfstream leasing 40 days from Calder who would then just run the Tropical at Calder meet in the fall. Anyway, something will have to happen here pretty quickly because everyone knows the head-to-head option is unworkable and bad for everyone.
