The Christmas Bitching Thread
Because the holidays are amazing but also stressful. And bitching is cathartic.
It's a good thing my stepmom is an amazing human being the rest of the year because being her Christmas elf every year leaves me a gibbering mess. There are times I just want to shriek, "YOU KEPT TWO SMALL BOYS ALIVE FOR FOUR YEARS IN A LABOR CAMP DURING THE POL POT REGIME. HOW CAN YOU NOT FIGURE OUT AN AMAZON WISH LIST?" I also don't understand why the top item on my 47-year-old husband's wish list is a sonic screwdriver ("Make sure it's the one used by the Eleventh Doctor, please"). Coincidentally, our three-year-old is requesting exactly the same thing. Along with a pink Hello Kitty phone ("A real one. Not a toy"). While I love that he makes no distinctions between "girl things" and "boy things" yet, I hate pink and I hate Hello Kitty. And, a real phone? Srsly? YOU'RE THREE. NO. I live behind the mall in Humble Texas....basically a one way in and a one way out...yet all the idiots still continue to peel off into the neighborhood thinking there is a back way out. Losers
