N-Word = 15 Yard Penalty
How many yards for talking about someone's mother. Girlfriend? Boyfriend? We need more of these rules obviously b/c the players cannot police themselves.

It's a word that has no place in society. That isn't the point of course. Free speech includes all manner of awful things. And should. They have penalties for taunting, just call it that if it is used that way. Otherwise, players talking to other players, not refs, should say whatever the hell they want.

Was listening to NBC Sports Radio in the car today with the wife sitting next to me. One of the commentators discussing this said that he thought "use of the c-word should be a penalty, too."
My wife turned to me and said, "you mean football players call each other c**ts on the field?" Had to explain to her about the word "cracker" and what it means, especially down here. That's why I love her! |
