Sunday Play Along
I'm trying to find a race worth placing a bet in. If anyone finds one sometime soon, please let us know.

I hear you! I use to like playing on Sunday cannot find any decent races. I do not see the point on races with a 6 horse field then having a scratch. That is all I see anymore. I will still anyway.

I'm going to play Oaklawn's R6-8 P3 but that's a way off. Their nightcap is terrible or I'd play the P4. Santa Anita's last race is unplayable too IMO.

From what I have seen so far, Aqueduct is pretty unplayable with very small fields until the last race.
Keeneland's card is particularly disappointing today with very small fields until the 5th, but then another small field in the 6th, with the last few races playable. But on opening Sunday for Keeneland only 9 races with mostly small fields? I am looking at Oaklawn right now which at least offers decent field sizes, but this is pretty pitiful for the opening of Aqueduct and Keeneland's spring meets. |

I will take a shot here at Oaklawn's first with the McPeek horse seemingly over bet here. The Hobby horse taking the biggest drop in racing has some appeal to me here at the price. The 8 can improve here too, but like the 4 more.

I should have added the 4. Thought the 8 had a good chance.

Ugh, was hoping the 1 came in on the 2 causing the jock to drop, but the 2 caused its own problems.

I would normally play the 5 here, but with the way the track is playing against inside speed, I can't. The 4 and 7 seem underlayed here, have to take a shot with the 3 at the price who should get a good trip with the bias $20W 3 |

Thanks, Mark! Got bet down to 2-1, but that horse made a ton of sense.
What a joke Esquivel is as a rider, he has the 5 inside of him who is nothing but speed and he insists on taking the to the lead on a biased track against frontrunners. The 4 got the perfect trip on this track, but as I suspected he was underlayed and not good enough to hold off the 3 who was better and got a favorable trip as well. It is nice to read a race right for once, even at 2-1. |
