Default Least Popular Player on PGA Tour

They recently did a survey of over 100 PGA Tour players. Any guesses as to who was the least popular player amongst his peers? I can tell you it was not Patrick Reed. He was second on the list. Without further adieu, the least popular player on the PGA Tour is......... Can I have a drum roll?

Bubba Watson

Here was the question: Is there a player on Tour that you would not help if you saw him in a fight in the parking lot? The #1 answer was Bubba, who got 23% of the vote. He was followed by Patrick Reed at 11%, Rory Sabatini at 9%, and then Robert Allenby who was also at 9%.

Behavior issues.
Intervention by Wife & Caddie.
Still berates caddie for lousy swings.
No surprises here either.

I think he handled the news well. He didn't make excuses. He didn't get defensive. He admitted that it was a personal shortcoming and something that he needs to work on. Here was his quote after learning the results of the survey:

"Here is the way I take it: I take it as I need to improve as a man," Watson said during a news conference at Augusta National. "I take it with pride. I need to get better. And I think over my career, since my rookie season to now, I've gotten better.

"But obviously there's more room for me to improve as a man. And so hopefully next year or the year after, it improves. It's a challenge. It's great. I'm glad that it came out and it's going to help me improve."
