That is a beautiful thing. Is it the best Distaff field ever?

I don't go back that far but I respect your opinion on the history based upon your prior postings here.

The 1999 and 1993 runnings were strong, too. As was the 2008, though it was run on a synthetic course. Actually, the race is usually pretty strong. Last year's race ironically seemed very mediocre.

That said, if the field listed here would be the one to ultimately start, I think it would be the only time that each Distaff entrant had a Grade or Group 1 win to their credit in the same year.

What do you like about her? Her record isn't much, hasn't raced since May and except for those 2 sub 48 workouts, the workouts are not that great. I'm interested in your opinion, that's why I'm asking.

Default Where O'Where should Frosty go ?

this picture just looks funny, it makes me smile...like a pets picture ...kinda reminds me of...MR ED...wwhhyllllburrr

Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin wasn't ready to confirm Oct. 19 which Breeders' Cup race Godolphin Racing's Frosted would start in. What McLaughlin did sign off on was the fact the 4-year-old son of Tapit continues to march towards either goal in good order with his latest progession being a six-furlong work in 1:11 at Greentree Training Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

McLaughlin said the team will likely announce Oct. 20 if the multiple grade I winner is going in the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) Nov. 5 at Santa Anita Park or the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (gr. I) on Nov. 4. Though he wouldn't indicate which race he was personally leaning towards, McLaughlin did reiterate his concern about the Dirt Mile being a two-turn test.

"It's just a short run to the first turn and you can get into traffic and this and that," McLaughlin said. "That's my concern, but it's not my call. We'll do whatever the boss (Sheikh Mohammed) wants to do.

McLaughlin likes the spacing coming into the Breeders' Cup more than he did Frosted's previous outing.

"He's doing great and with the 60 days (going into the Classic), you can tell his energy level is very high," McLaughlin said. "He worked great, we're very pleased with him. And I think it's a better situation than the 30 days (from the Whitney into the Woodward) that we did last time."

Headed to the Classic, where most will dismiss his chances. It sure looks like he is up against it, but he has run as fast as any on occasion.

I'm kind of glad he's going in the Classic,he brings a nice resume into the race.
If he doesn't go in the Classic, then HOY will be down to Chrome.......and perhaps Songbird(if CC loses and SB wins).
If Frosted upsets in the Classic..........I think he wins HOY.
Frosted in the BCC is good for racing......

When Arrogate canters home, I'm pretty sure HOY is his.

Arrogate is such a wild card.
he is a huge beast , and Baffert speaks about his long stride and how he needs all 10f...

he created quite a ruckus at Saratoga, getting the canoe painted his way
setting records that were in place for decades breaking marks even the best in the historical game have not matched.

will ARROGATE be another Zito trained,BELLAMY ROAD (winning the Wood Memorial by a record 17 1/2 lengths in stakes-record time of 1:47.16 – also equaling the 1 1/8-mile track record at Aqueduct.)

As Andy Beyer typed :
Bellamy Road could very well be in a class by himself.
Owner George Steinbrenner's colt has raced twice this year (2005), winning an allowance race at Gulfstream Park by nearly 16 lengths and the Wood Memorial Stakes by 17 1/2 , earning a stratospheric Beyer Speed Figure of 120, the best ever recorded in a prep race for the Derby. (but then again, that was the milkshake era) This one performance suggested that Bellamy Road might be another Secretariat, Affirmed or Seattle Slew.

2nd in the mid summers derby in 2005, that was all there was for Ballamy.

OR..

will Arrogate go on to better and bigger things.

I dunno ?

who does ?...
