Justify
I've been holding my enthusiasm back about Justify and will still remain somewhat reserved but we have just seen greatness. I hope he goes on to the Travers and then the Classic to equal AP and then race as a 4 YO. Hey I can hope for the 4YO part. The other is in the bag.

Pretty dang remarkable. From maiden to TC winner in 112 days. That's what astounds me. Sometimes the racing Gods throw us for a curve, eh?

Looks like Baffert will be duplicating the AP plan (why not?) but I hope he skips Monmouth and takes him down to DelMar instead, next to the Travers and it would be freaking awesome for him (and us) to run him in the Pegasus next January. And of course run the table with all of them.
That would still work well with the start of his baby-making career.

Look at this guy. In the winner's circle at CD, just hanging out with his friends, so to speak. He just stands there, ears pricked forward, calm, cool, and collected. Taking it all in.
I sometimes tease my friend about how she anthropomorphizes animals. Yet, I can't help looking at him here and he's just a regular dude, no huffing and puffing and pawing at the ground as if he think's he's some big shot, which he is. One cool cucumber, he's kind of like the Cary Grant of race horses. https://twitter.com/BH_AHughes/statu...25125902917632 |
