Default 6/13 Venue Thoughts, Comments

I'm thinking Santa Anita with 2 stakes races, likely not the full card, and adding the Ogden Phipps at Belmont that's a BC qualifying race.

Thoughts???

PPs not available on DRF yet so unable to comment. Probably won't be available until sometime later this afternoon. Santa Anita plagued with short fields of late.

Entries for the Phipps are out. Only 6 are entered, although the quality looks good [Ollie's Candy - 2nd in Apple Blossom; Point of Honor - 3rd in Apple Blossom; Pink Sands - 1st in Inside Information; Golden Award - 2nd in Royal Delta] the sort of quality you would expect in a NYRA Grade 1.

The two stakes at Santa Anita have 5 entries each and there is one more race with 5 entries and 3 races with 6 entries.

Belmont races have decent size fields except for the stakes which has 6 entries. There are also 4 maiden races at Belmont.

Churchill has decent size fields with 3 maiden races and the G-3 Louisville.

Churchill or Belmont seem best to me with one about as good as the other.
