Post position on the outside in between two HOF jockeys and two top quality horses and trainers. He will be able to see what each of them are doing as long as he wants to as well as the rest of the field. He should be able to figure it all out pretty quick from where he's at.

Out of all the entrants in the Derby, there is only 1 horse that already beat Tizthe law.
And that my friends is FINNICK THE FIERCE and that was at Churchill Downs. CHA CHING.

If Finnick wins, he may have to change his name to Jack The Giant Killer Or David the Shepherd boy who slew Goliath or some such. Finnick may not be a monster, but you should get monster odds. I'm guessing somewhere just shy of 100-1.
