Contest Venue for August 10 - Del Mar

This Saturday we will take the prudent course of action (does that make me a prude?) by having our contest where the Surf meets the Turf at old Del Mar.

We'll be playing the full 10 race card. First post will be at 2:00 PM Pacific (corresponding to 5:00 PM Eastern).

I'll admit that my heart isn't in it - I would have preferred to stay at the Spa, but I'm just not willing to take a chance on how much rain will fall in the Northeast on Friday night and whether that will wipe out the important stakes races.

After seeing how the scratches have riddled the card at Saratoga, I'm glad that we are playing Del Mar.

Hopefully the run of rotten weather in the Northeast is behind us.
