Sad news for Whedon fans
Joss stopped by the Whedonesque site today to personally inform us that he is no longer a part of the Wonder Woman project. Apparently the studio and him were at odds over how to portray the character! The plus side is that this will free him up to finish Goners, the Buffy comics and possibly we'll see something new on the TV front.

WTF? whos gonna take over then. I was looking forward to a Buffesque Wonder Woman, along with all the witty little barbs.

We all were! I can't get on the Whedonesque site right now but the other sites are reporting it and have the text of his message that he posted there...he was gracious as always but obviously the movie studio folks simply wouldn't allow him to use his vision of the character. I assume that they will have to start the script over from scratch at this point...irregardless, I no longer have an interest in the project. WW is a tough character to do properly...I look for a real mess now!

Here is a link to MTV site article on this news...the studio had purchased a script a few days ago...I heard about that and they said it was to protect against any future litigation...obviously they were lying and intended to use the new script...so, WW will be set in the 40's battling Natzis I suspect...
