Default Promo clip of this week's The Office

Well, I now see why they wanted Joss Whedon to direct this week's episode of The Office (Thursday, NBC)...here is a link to a video clip to promote the episode, Vampire Jim...LOL!

Curious what you thought Somer....

It was funny, I didn't see anything he really brought to it and felt it was the status quo, which isn't an insult I like the show.

I mean Jim is messing with Dwight 24/7. I think the best was when they had him on the roof waiting for his secret mission.

Worst episode ever, don't know if you can really blame it all on him, but I hope they don't try that experiment again...

Other than his fanboys, I think the guy's a hack, my old roommate was nuts over that dumb Buffy show, I tried watching it, but it was awful, yeah I know here comes the comments about how you have to be smart to watch it....I saw that he got kicked off of Wonder Woman, probably a smart idea, because it would have been a failure, except for the small group of smart people that would go see it....

Everybody is entitiled to their opinion...all the verbal attacks you make are obviously designed to get an emotional response out of me...sorry, I could care less! I think Joss is the greatest creative mind in TV, you can think he's a hack...I think Buffy was the best show ever on TV, you can call it dumb. You can slam people for watching it...but in the end, you look like the one with sour grapes. Seriously dude, with your attitude, it's obvious you'd hate the episode...as others have said, it was the show's basic format...as much as I love Joss' work, I didn't see much difference nor would I have expected to! Nobody but haters like you ever said you had to be "smart" to enjoy his work...all types of folks like it and all types don't like it...only a few feel the necessity to attack others for liking it however.

I agree...it was the show in it's basic format...I saw a couple nice touches in the camera work and the actor's presentations but nothing out of the ordinary...as I expected. A writer has far more input in TV than a director usually (reverse in movies), if Joss were to direct an entire arc or season I'd expect to see differences but not really in a single episode. He wrote for Rosanne of course and is very familiar with the format, he came in and did a nice job...if you check out several myspace sites belonging to cast and crew of the show, you'll see that they really enjoyed working with Joss and had lots of praise for him. It was a funny episode...it's a funny show! If you like the show (and aren't a Joss hater or someone trying to stir something up), you enjoyed the episode...if you don't care for the show, I suspect you felt the same about that episode.
