Default Mitt Romney's day today ... not so good

I'm starting to truly feel sorry for Romney.

But geesh, he's been running for President for years, he couldn't get it effing right, plan ahead, get the right staff, to be a decent choice? Good lord! We deserve a decent, viable candidate from the second major political party.

Oh, heck, I'm just gonna link to the Huffington Post front page ....

Bizarro World - Dumbest 'Gaffe" Yet

Romney Aide Errors By… Highlighting Mitt's Greatest Achievement

So, it's come to this. Today, a spokeswoman for Mitt Romney responded to an attack ad disseminated by a super PAC supporting President Barack Obama. The ad was a controversial broadside, worthy of a response.

The spokeswoman spoke against the ad with conviction. She offered a counter argument that was precise and logical and fair. The spokeswoman cleanly invoked her candidate's greatest legislative achievement, in an eminently reasonable way, in her candidate's defense.

And that spokeswoman's response is being hailed as one of the 2012 campaign season's most collossal cock-ups.

Romney disaster continues:

The Wingnuts, lead by Eric Erikson and Ann Coulter, call for boycott of Tampa Convention and donation money to Romney

Coulter goes ballistic on Hannity:

Quote:
Ann Coulter:

Anyone who donates to Mitt Romney, and I mean the big donors, ought to say if Andrea Saul isn’t fired and off the campaign tomorrow, they are not giving another dime, because it is not worth fighting for this man if this is the kind of spokesman he has.

THERE’S NO POINT IN GOING TO THE CONVENTION AND PUSHING FOR THIS MAN IF HE’S EMPLOYING MORONS LIKE THIS. THIS AD IS THE TURNING POINT AND SHE HAS NEARLY SNATCHED VICTORY FROM THE JAWS OF DEFEAT! [SIC] [screaming and convoluted logic original].
Snatched victory from jaws of defeat? Whatever, Ann - think you mean defeat from victory, but ...

Not that it matters what the little wingnut guys do, as Romney is owned by the Koch Brothers and Sheldon Adelson, who will just keep writing checks to get their manchurian financial candidate elected. They don't care about the social conservatives, either does Romney. This election is all about the wealthy finally gaining total control over financial markets, deregulation, etc. It is sad to watch the social conservatives and Tea Party being used by the money men.

Of course, the Ron Paul guys are estatic, they think their guy now has a chance at the Convention. Not. But hey, the GOP elite could always end up pulling Romney and inserting Pawlenty as the Pres. candidate.

This could have an influence on Romneys VP pick, he may go more wingnut instead of Portman now ... what a fun political season!

The hilarious thing is: this "gaffe" only matters to the conservative wingnuts. Everyone else likes healthcare.

^^ ^ Major news political story of past 24-hour news cycle, absolute disruption and schism on the right within factions of Republican Party, Pointman is completely unawares.

I was supportive of the poor Romney campaign in this, Pointman didn't even notice
