The winner's of all four dirt Stakes spent the majority of the race on the rail.

Private Zone looked like he got on a conveyer belt at the end of the Vosburgh.

Is he the real deal? Or did a pretty fast west coast horse beat mediocre eastern horses?

I think he's the real deal, but the way the track is playing certainly didn't hurt. Gutty comeback on the rail.

Was certainly in the right path and was dealing with a foe who tends to idle when encountering the front, but is very tenacious and seems to like a fight.

Pedroza was also the ideal jockey for a rail run. And fortunately left a little in the tank.

BTW I loved Joe Bravo's ride on Little Mike. Would love to know whether the decision to rate was on purpose or just happened.

The rail certainly helped, but there is nothing cooler than seeing a horse fight back like that.
