Englander runs horses everywhere. The horse's best races this year have been grass sprints. No more grass sprints in the Northeast this year. I suspect that they are hoping that he finds Cushion track to his liking.
If he does not like cushion track, they don't run grass sprints that cheap in Socal, and he will then be shipped to Northern Cal where they do write grass sprints at that level.
You have to work for one of these nutty all over the country claiming guys to understand their logic, and even then, you usually still don't understand it.
Why would he pay 50% of the horses total value to ship all the way to Cali?
Because to a guy like that its worth it if the horse wins a race.
