Thanks for posting. Wow you always knew he was great horse but after watching this you he was uunbeivable. The 1975 Woodward was remarkable.... Forego was one of 3 horses who were at each others throats through the first 3/4s of the 11/2 race and then he and Wajima continue into the stretch until Forego pulls off. This race was in stark contrast to 1974 when he was way back throughout the entire race and coosed like a freight train in the stretch.

Great post...these races just exemplify how great thoroughbred racing was back in the 1970's..I never saw Secretariat race, but I did see Forego on several occasions...what a horse indeed!!!! The competition was not too bad either --Honest Pleasure, Soy Numero Uno, Group Plan, J.O. Tobin and so on.....
