Dry Martini obviously looks like a monster in there.

I remember telling Jamie when we got to Fort Lauderdale for Sunshine Millions weekend that I had been obsessing over the inside horse (Dry Martini) in the Classic since that morning when I was sitting in the Detroit airport looking over the Thrograph numbers the morning that I flew out.

I thought he was sitting on a huge race and was really on the upswing and expected a big run. He delivered behind some pretty good horses in what was a huge acid test for him. (then again, I ended up playing Summer Book instead, so I basically f-ed up the whole race anyway....)

I wouldn't be playing against him here, but that's just me. Weirder things have happened.

Joe Bravo is sitting on a nice horse here. Got banged around in the last try, when he hit the 1/8 pole. I am tossing it in here. Needs to get clear, and has the speed to do it. Settle down, stalk, and pounce this time. If he gets the lead easy, we are in trouble.

early & mid pace figs far out do these here, just need a good break to make sure they don't bunch up.

Big win #10

well rob.... you bet show because in a race like this because my horse is probelly going to be 4or5-1, and in a big field like this you can pick up 8or9 dollers for show, lets just say $8 8 times 25 is 200 and instead of losing 150 i would then make 50

ok - i understand - i guess because it is an 11 horse race - it makes a bit of sense - although in my opinion show is a bad bet... the way you rationalize it, it makes a bit of sense, but when was the last time you got $8.00 to show....I personally would rather invest the fifty in exactas or pick 3's. Buts thats just me.

P.S. do you like Corinthian again? I do.

Without my $27,500 win bet on Dry Martini, Laity would have been one of the favorites. Those who liked Dry Martini could've probably gotten close to double digits if it weren't for my intuitive sense that this runner would win in a walk.

Sometimes they just speak to ya, you know?
