Default Tampa Tuesday Pick 4

6th Race - Clm25k Abt 1 1/16 Turf

1 - Love My Gal (6-1) Stretched her legs over the Tampa sod. Quick work at GP on the 23rd. A ground saving trip is in store.
10 - Java Wit (9-2) Late runner shouldn't be bothered by the post. She's run well fresh and wins 50% of her races here.
2 - Bella Bella Bailey (4-1) Lures Lezcano who I don't think has ever ridden for Don Rice. Another late runner in a race with plenty of speed. Scratch

7th Race - Clm 6250 1 1/16

3 - Pouco Moleque (5-2) Ness wins 45% off the claim. Gelding won at the 8k level in January.
6 - He Rules (5-1) Romped at 7f in last. Defrere gelding probably prefers two turns. 2nd
8 - Ask Alie to Dance (9-2) Nice jock switch to Montalvo. Three wins at the meet including last at this level, but doesn't seem to put back to back races together.

8th Race - Alw19200 N1X 7f

3 - Mi Compadre (8-1) Nice maintenance work after a strong maiden score. Right back.
2 - Its Bailey's Time (5-2) Ziadie wins 56% off the claim. His go to guy is aboard. 3rd
1 - Tougher 'n Most (10-1) Pompay doesn't send many north to Tampa. The few that take the van ride are spotted well and this one had two seconds at this track/level last year. Won @ 10-1
9 - Unbridledwood (6-1) Third off the layoff for Lynne Scace. 6yr old son of Unbridled will appreciate the extra distance.

9th Race - Alw19200 N1X Abt 5f Turf

2 - Si Si Mon Amie (7-2) Sharp maiden score going 8f. El Corredor filly will be flying late under Montalvo. 2nd
4 - Cher Ami (3-1) Overmatched in her last, will be prominent early. Won
9 - Floresta (5-2) Mott filly has yet to live up to her $335k price tag. The grass may wake her up, then again it may not. 3rd

The $60 play (edited for scratch in the 6th Race):

6 - 1,3,10
7 - 3,6
8 - 1,2,3,7,9
9 - 2,4

GL to all Tuesday.

I see you didn't include Andromeda's Hero full brother; Superfly in the 8th race...I know his last here wasn't that good at odds-on
but in pick 4 plays...I would throw him in.

I was on track on Feb. 17, Superfly did not look good. He did not get beat by any worldbeaters. The third place horse in his last race, Fiddler, won a 16k N3L on Sat. and the winner, Batesee, just finished 10th of 11 horses for a open 16k tag on Sunday. The final straw, Lezcano jumped ship to the 2 horse.

About the only positive I see is that he isn't in for a tag. That said, I'll pass at a short price.

I've been debating todays PK for about 2 hours now, and i can't trim my ticket any more. There are a lot of live horses on todays card, here's what i came up with

1 5(2nd) 10 11(3rd) : #3 is gonna get some company up front today, hopefully all the speed falters b/c i have chosen nothing but closers. #5 Secret Lies i think it a live longshot, second time at 25K tag and switches from Amiss to Gonzalez. In her last 3 races everyone has walked on the front end, hopefully she get's some pace to run into

3 (4th) 6 (2nd) 8 (3rd) : something about Ness's horse rubs me the wrong way (#3), claimed at 8K and flopped coming from the Calabrese barn, now Ness drops him back down to 6K claimers. Wish i could have gone 2 deep here but Ness has thrown me for a loop

1 (won) 2 7 (3rd) : i finally gave into the notion that i can't use Superfly, probably be the death of me (if i can get this far)

2(2nd) 4(won) 5 (4th)

PK4
15 10 11
368
127
245 = $108

*Si Si Mon Amie is going into the stable mail, don't think she cared for the distance and still only got nipped at the wire

$34K for the PK; so close yet sooooo far away
gl all

Default Race 6

Wow, that sucked. The 3 threw out the anchor on the backstretch and handed the race to the 7 on a silver platter.

I think the 7 earned it... sub 24 quarters all, think you.

should have seen that coming a mile away, the horse that's been layed up since August keeps going on the front end, awsome. Meanwhile that POS Ferrer doesn't run a lick with the #10, Centeno breaks down with the #1 and my live 17-1 longshot can't reach the leader and runs 2nd....... sour taste
