Default were in bad shape

chicago racing that is. look at the overnight(entries) that just came out for sunday and theyre absolutely awful. took them till after 3 to come out and you can obviously see why with the field sizes! its lookin like bay meadows these days here, even worse. well i guess after GLD shuts down this year we got all that "great" stock to look forward to running here to boost field size. since arlington got poly it may just be an 8 month meet there as the only t bred racing in chicago if this keeps up

i've seen those fields, they usually will have six horses and the odds will range from a high of 7/2 to a low of 8/5. zzzzzzzz

well jim hawthornes usual cry is theyll get better fields once the fairgrounds and oaklawn ends but by then the meets almost over and its onto arlington. and this fall dont expect alotta people to stick around here after arlington and or have strings here like they usually do like asmussen and calhoun etc etc when they already have strings at remington which has slots, a better racetrack and backstretch, longer turf racing into the fall and justa nicer place overall

i hear you, and agree. its seems to be dying at hawthorne. i've even noticed the Arlington meet declining since I moved over here 5 years ago. There wasn't much up from KY last year like in comparison to five years ago. the poly might help reverse that trend.

Playa Chi racing is awful. One good day a year isn't pretty.
