Aqueduct, full card
Steve, hope you don't mind me posting under you... tough choice but I decided to focus on Aqueduct, Gulstream is running "Calder" card today, I'll leave Tampa and Keeneland to others...
Race 1: #6 Neon Magic is intriguing, 1st time Dutrow, getting weight with Talamo, off freshening. Needs to run back to one of his good ones last year, if the price is right! #2 Forgotten Cat gets the rail, running well right now, should also be a nice price... #4 River Mountain Rd, likely favorite, fast but comes back on 2 weeks rest..#10 Lieutenant Danz, has semi 0-2-x pattern, can improve, although far outside post doesn't help. Race 2: On the turf? off the turf? will handicap for on, (if it comes off, use the #11, #8 and #3) #5 Serpe's Hangingbyathread ran well with trouble 1st out at GP, can improve here..#4 Vim & Vigor, improving with every start, gets the rail...neither of the Pletcher entry would be a surprise. Race 3: #3, Violette's Jimmy G, nice ML price, comes off a stretchout bounce, shortens up here with better timing...#4 Hedge Fund, very solid in 1st 2 starts, ships in.. #6 Truman's Gold, exceptionally fast, nice rest, strange pattern read, could easily run off with this. Race 4: #10 Market Psychology, comes in off big effort, will be likely favorite, outside post, certainly can win, but might want to take a shot against...with that said, using #5 Cockney Gambler, #7 Love Abroad, and #8 Sly Diamond Jim. Race 5: #7 Talking Treasure, has potentially Xplosive TG pattern, should run well...#10 Love Cove, #2 American Dreama, and #6 Court and Spark, all look solid.. #4 Posey Park, comes back quickly, but has competitive #'s, could hit the board. Race 6: the 1 and 3/4 mile Pleasant Colony Stakes, unusual distance... the Contessa entry looks great, #1a Successful Affair is most proven at longer distances...don't have any idea why #7 Monopoly Pricing would be in this race, never gone this far, and coming off a pulled up/vanned off? longshot for 2nd could be the slowish, but lightly race #3 My Man Lars.. Race 7: very contentious Bay Shore, taking a shot with #4 Hobbitontherocks, comes in with fastest TG fig in last at Philly, has nice spacing since that one, could be a square price...whichever Frankel horse runs will be dangerous, as are #'s 5 and 6, Bill Place and Wollaston Bay (like Bill Place a bit more). Race 8: The Wood Memorial.. obviously this comes down to NoBiz or not NoBiz I'm choosing NoBiz!! has run 3 TG 2.5's in a row, today should be the breakthru performance... Any Given Saturday broke through with TG zero in last, ships in from Tampa with just 3 weeks rest, may react..#5 Summer Doldrums is solid, and #3 Sightseeing ran a good one at GP last month, comes in a bit slower than the top horses, but can improve, DANGEROUS! Race 9: the Carter, #3 Ah Day, hasn't been facing this type, but the TG #'s are excellent...#5 Diabolical, looks good although I heard Andy say he may scratch...#6 Latent Heat, favorite giving weight, taking a shot against. #4 Silver Wagon, extremely fast, but may react to his last (TG neg 2). #7 Keyed Entry, obviously dangerous, especially if this is looking like Pletcher Saturday. Race 10: the Excelsior, #1 Corinthian, gets the rail, nice timing, should be very tough to beat...expect a good run from #3 Naughty New Yorker, despite Samyn... #4 Magna Grad, the key horse in the sense of throwing out, which is tough to do, especially if Pletcher's are running. Race 11: MSW night cap, very evenly matched race, looks like any of top 4 can win, #1 Contessa's Timirene should improve 2nd start from the rai, #2 Golden Manna, nice circle back pattern, although comes back a bit quickly..#6 It's All Good, nice spacing off a stretchout, 1st Lasix bounce, can rebound here with Talamo...nothing wrong with Tullock's #8 Automatic Appeal. use all 4. As always, Good Luck to all Just looked at the Oaklawn Handicap, race 10, which is the TG Race of the Week... #4 Papi Chullo looks very enticing, especially at 12-1 ML.. favorite Lawyer Ron should run well, but is giving alot of weight, don't like McCanns Mojave at all.. will use #'s 1,2 and 3, Brother Bobby, Jonesboro, and Smokeyjonessutton underneath with Lawyer Ron. With local hero Lawyer Ron in the Oaklawn Handicap, you guys that like Papi Chullo should get huge odds. Might be interesting to play him in a daily double over the whole field in the 11th race. It's a maiden race.
