i liked him because i just did i guess, i thought the group as a whole was very very weak and it was a perfect spot for a up and comer to shock them, i thought tiago would be around 10-1 or 15-1 not what he was i was shocked to get those big odds, because of those odds i doubled my bet on him just because of the value i saw in him.

All right Point,I am happy for you that you made money. The reason you bet him is because he was an up and comer to shock them ??? Are you f--king kidding me.Please explain that phrase if you would please. No doubt you got a lot of help on the ride of Mig taking this horse wide,o so WIDE.Good job Mig on King of Roxy you chump. But,please tell me what you saw from this horse to be and up and comer.Maybe Randall can help me on this.

you feel bad.. how do you think I feel. I bet the horse the last time out and because of the jockey switch I tossed him.

Mike Smith runs 1000 times and I don't bet him 1000 times and he beats me
once

PP,

Migliore's ride was terrific on King of the Roxy. He got into a perfect stalking spot right outside the early leaders. Where do you think a horse with natural early speed is going to go from the 8 hole? The horse, who has no interest in 9 furlongs, was beaten a length.

Your issue here isn't King of the Roxy or Mig.. (You keyed them, I assume first and second).. Your problem was you didn't see Tiago as an inclusion..

Nope, but I'm placing a wager on the G3 John Connally at Sam Houston. 35MTP

Fort Prado looks to defend.

PP,

With a sprinter like Black Seventeen making his first route start as well as distance-challenged King of the Roxy coming of a sprint and pace-pressers like Level Red and Liquidity in the race, there was every potential for there to be a scenario for a meltdown. And that's exactly what you got.

John Shirreffs TOOK THE BLINKERS OFF Tiago today, as he said earlier this week that he thought he had figured some things out with this curious colt. Blinks off meant he was going to be far more relaxed early in the race and simply come with the one run that is naturally to his liking. As a son of Pleasant Tap, he was sure to like the added distance as well, and all that added up to what you saw today.

A pace meltdown.. natural stretch runner getting a set-up.. ran them all down when everybody else up front completely stopped running... Viola.

Steve, what has this horse done up to this point to be looked at as a play in this race.Nothing ! Is he really a horse you would key on top ? Or over your top plays ?

No. I didn't think he was a key horse.. I had him 4th. I liked him as an inclusion because he had shown some talent.. especially in that bizarre race where he was awarded the win.. I respect Shirreffs immensely and had read that he felt he had made some changes with the colt that were going affect him positively.. He is a Pleasant Tap who like added distance and I thought he had a chance to clunk up for third or fourth.

My error was excluding Roxy who couldn't get 9f on a flatbed and having any confidence in one of Hollendorfer's NoCal no-account Derby hopefuls. Cause to Believe.. Eye of the Tiger.. they're all the same. (Except Event of the Year who was a real horse..)
