Default older horses

there were quite a few races yesterday with some 'big' names, that have gotten little or no mention.

who is everyone's choice for top performance yesterday? who had round pond, and what did you think of ermine winning, while the distaff champ was third?

i thought smokey stover looked good. lawyer ron won the oaklawn-but i'm not sure that the win elevates him to the top of the handicap ranks--altho i do think he would fit in with magna grad, i'm afraid that invasor is all alone at the tip-top.

I thought Ermine ran well but so did second place finisher Take D'Tour.

Lawyer Ron? Great spot Pletcher found for him. I hope we get to see him take on some bigger dogs in the future. Seems to me the Met Mile would be a great spot for him.

Sun King, in case anyone cares, should be returning soon and he is pointing for the Met.

Let me add, I hope people don't fear Invasor, as he is certainly terrific, and alone at the top right now as you said, but he doesn't seem unbeatable to me. Premium Tap's status is up in the air. It is my understanding that while Kimmel expects him back it is far from a certanty.

Which horses do you think have the best shot at beating him? Premium Tap is a worthy foe, but Invasor has handled him a couple times in a row and I guess his future is uncertain, whether he comes back here or not.

All horses are beatable but its hard for me to imagine a scenario where he gets beat at this time.

sun king took him to the limit last year, i'm anxious to see him back on the track--altho he will also have to step up, as i feel invasor has since fall, to push that one to the limit again.
a healthy and one hundred percent discreet cat will be a worthy foe as well.

Lawyer ron seemed much more relaxed yesterday than in his prior races...I was never a fan and won't be on his bandwagon anytime soon but he looked nice yesterday.
