Default World record??

DRF is not listing the Ward 2 yo as the track record holder for 4 1/2 furlongs. The records have been updated recently and she is NOT listed. Has the phony time finally been exposed?

I noticed that also, they have Pletcher's More Than Ready colt Ready's Image as the track record holder. Did the retime the race?

It is almost impossible for any horse to run as fast as they said she did.

Maybe the timer started a couple of seconds late. Didn't they have that problem when the new Gulfstream open up a couple of years ago, because the times on the turf course were unreal.

It happens...but I think that it is strange that no one has said anything about this considering how much hype came from Keeneland after the 'record' and late entry into the sale of the 'record' holder.

Isn't Trakus supposed to make times more accurate?

Just days earlier---at the preview, a filly by Belmont Stakes winner Lemon Drop Kid worked a furlong in 20 1/5th without the aid of blinkers---a filly by late developing router Mineshaft worked an 1/8th in 9 3/5ths, and galloped out a 1/4 mile in 20.24, also without blinkers.

The track feed had One Hot Wish's final time orignally at 50.12---however, there is almost no way that she wasn't by far the fastest winner of a 2yo race at that meet.

That the track was yielding some comically fast times.

20 1/5th second for a quarter mile in a preview is unheard of.

At Fasig-Tipton Feb, the fastest 1/4 mile work ever recorded was Tiz Wonderful's 20 3/5ths. At Barretts March, the fastest time ever recorded was What A Song's 20 3/5ths. The fastest quarter mile ever recorded in the history of the OBS sales was Afrashad's 20 3/5ths....at KEE April on dirt the fastest time ever recorded was Day Pass's 20 3/5ths.

You didn't find it a little suspcious to see THREE horses work faster than 20 3/5ths?

There is no disputing that she ran very well. But when a "world record" is declared and it would be nice if the time was accurate.

It was over an artifical surface.....and at the distance of 4.5 furlongs....

IMO, It's not exactly something anyone should take seriously.

But, I certainly agree with you in general, that it would be nice if all times are accurate...world record or not.

She would have had to turn over 2 21 second 1/4's and finish with a 6 & change 1/8th , not impossible but very hard to do.
