No to being a "great horse."
In all three of the big races he's run in his career, he's had the same kind of perfect trip. He's also in a low-rated crop, and his speed figures certainly aren't any better than past top 3yo's from this decade. I think it's fair to call him a CD "horse for the course" --- however, it takes a pretty impressive horse to return off a layoff, in a 3yo debut, going two-turns at Tampa Downs, and win with a triple digit figure. It's not like he can't run his race away from CD. |
