![]() ESPN's Peter Gammons is undergoing surgery this afternoon for an aneurysm in his brain.
Gammons was stricken earlier today and was taken to a Boston-area hospital. He is expected to be in intensive care for the next 10 to 12 days. It'll be a far less interesting trade deadline if Gammons isn't ready to spread some rumors. Hopefully, a speedy recovery is on the way. Jun. 27 - 6:35 pm et Source: Boston Globe

![]() Peter has so many contacts because he is a 1st rate reporter. Doesnt talk bad about anyone, doesnt reveal his sources and he doesnt just make stuff up. I wish Gammons well, his passion and knowledge of the game is truly special. Gammons, Reynolds and Kruk are just awesome together.
