RIP...I didn't agree with his positions for the most part and I feel the philosophy he promoted was harmful to this nation but he was a man of principle and I will at least respect that.

Well, he was consistant over the years, his remarks after 9-11 were..to me..shameful and his problems with gays destructive to the fabric of modern society. We do agree on abortion...although I wonder if repeal of Roe is the answer anymore. They had an interview that he did last week with C. Amanpour on CNN where he said that he was praying to his god for 20 more years of life...guess that didn't work out. I never take satisfaction at the end of a life, if he's right...he has a ticket to the christian heaven, if I'm right...he'll be back to try again.

And...it doesn't go unnoticed how some folks take any opportunity to slam Jesse Jackson. Not sure how that applies here but certainly not unexpected.
