Default Government at Work

Keeping you safe every day.

Amazing. If this is totally sourced out by the author, it really is terrifying in this country post 9/11, when this whole strongarm focus on security dominates so many conversations. We hear talk about not being able to protect this country without warantless wiretapping, etc etc, yet we can let someone like this slip through just about every available agency responsible for keeping people like this out of our country? Scary to even wonder where this guy is now....

Well, 94 Senators failed to actually read the intelligence reports before the vote to support the Iraq war. This is not a surprise either.

I was not joking when I said they didn't read it. Click on the link below (WARNING: the source of the information in this article is RON PAUL)

Here is a snippet:
"Paul confirms rumors circulating in Washington that this sweeping new law, with serious implications for each and every American, was not made available to members of Congress for review before the vote. "It's my understanding the bill wasn't printed before the vote - at least I couldn't get it. They played all kinds of games, kept the House in session all night, and it was a very complicated bill. Maybe a handful of staffers actually read it, but the bill definitely was not available to members before the vote."

It's pretty bad when the workings of our Govt. look like a city council in the suburbs!
