Wow
Sorry to bring up the (recent) past but i'm just watching all the races i missed, and just seen the Ribblesdale, how impressive was Silkwood? She came there still cantering!
She had a wide trip most of the way round, travelled really well and just stamped her class. I'm rather pleased with myself about her because, i watched her make her debut at WOLVERHAMPTON (not many Gr1 winners make their debut there) and when she won that day i said this filly could be special.

Yeah, that is what i meant, she looks to be up to Gr1 class already, and not many Gr1 winners make their debuts at wolverhampton!!!
Connections feel that if the ground was faster at Epsom they would have run her in the Oaks and would probably have won.

. SILKWOOD could be ready to resume normal service in the Group 1 Darley Yorkshire Oaks at York on August 22 after the scintillating Royal Ascot winner put in an impressive gallop on the Limekilns on Wednesday morning. Conditions on the famous stretch were pretty fast but that served the ultra-progressive daughter of Singspiel well as she zipped well clear of her companion on the Long gallop under Philip Robinson. The Sheikh Mohammed-owned filly had been one of the most impressive winners at Royal Ascot when scooting to a five-length success from All My Loving in the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes but had to forego an intended step up in class in the Darley Irish Oaks when scoping badly after her last gallop prior to that race. Trainer Michael Jarvis, who has just recuperated from a bad case of food poisoning, said: “She is fine and as it was the ground in the Irish Oaks would have been too soft for her and the break has done her good. “She has done three bits of work before today, loves this fast ground and she would be on target for the Yorkshire Oaks.” Breeders' Cup Turf winner Red Rocks, fourth in the “race of the season” at the Royal meeting, will work at Manton on Thursday morning for the first time since the Prince Of Wales's Stakes. Apart from the Ascot winner Manduro being elevated to the best turf horse in the world on Racing Post Ratings, the race was given extra sheen by runner-up Dylan Thomas going on to win the King George, and third, Notnowcato, taking the Eclipse. Brian Meehan gave Red Rocks a rest after Royal Ascot, and the preparation towards a second Breeders' Cup Turf will step up a gear on Friday. He said: “Red Rocks ran a good race at Ascot but he wasn't right immediately afterwards. He's come back well, although no decision has been made whether or not he'll run in the Irish Champion Stakes as a prelude to the Breeders' Cup. As I've stressed all along, the latter has been his target.” The trainer added: “After Monmouth Park, I expect we'll be looking to run him in Hong Kong and Dubai.”
