Fantastic 4/Silver Surfer
just returned from this movie....and shockingly, I enjoyed it. Not my cup of tea usually.

Who knows. Last night was the first time I have been to the movies in 10 months...and even then the only reason I went is because a friend asked me to go see it with her. I did see the previews for it last night though. Looks "different" I guess. I tend to be the type of person that only enjoys movies that are believable. Never been a big Sci-Fi fan or anything of that sort. I did own some Transformers as a kid though |

i read and collected comics. still do now and then. fantasic 4/silver surf not one of my favs. the Transformers tv cartoon was actually better than the comics, imo. this Transformers tells the story from the beginning. i thought it looked interesting with the computer generation.

Esquire or GQ or Maxim or one of those guy mags had a list of "Top 25 Guy Chick Flicks" and I remember the animated Transformers movie was number 25, probably due to Optimus Prime (or whatever his name was) biting it. I don't remember the whole list, but I remember number one. Anyone (who didn't read the article) want to make a guess? I will say it's probably a deserving favorite for the list, as illustrated in this true conversation between my husband and his born-and-bred Oklahoma dad about it (name of film left out so you can guess):
Dad: "Have you seen (movie name)?" Husband: "Not yet." Dad (eyes starting to fill with tears): "Youshouldseeititsreallygood." Dad walks away, embarrassed, to go have a beer and think manly thoughts.
