![]() In reading yet another story about TGM, I ran across the news of Tiz Wonderful, and how the horse was badly injured in a gallop and is being transported to New Bolton.
Hope things work out for Tiz, but we will just have to wait and see... |

![]() I hope we don't have to read about him in the Angels thread...
Tiz Wonderful, who finished second in Wednesday's More Than Ready Stakes, suffered a ruptured suspensory ligament in his hind right ankle, trainer Steve Asmussen said. He said the horse's racing career is over and the injury could be life threatening. On Thursday, Tiz Wonderful was sent by van to the New Bolton Center in Pennsylvania for further evaluation. "I don't think he's out of the woods," said Asmussen, who said there is a fear that laminitis could set in on the opposite, weight-bearing foot. Asmussen said the injury occurred after the race, while Velazquez was galloping him back to be unsaddled after he ran second, 2 1/2 lengths behind Stunt Man in the More Than Ready. |

![]() Asmussen or no Asmussen, a legitimately nice horse, and I wish him the best and the speediest of recoveries.

![]() I have sources who unfortunately say he will not make it and is living on barrowed time. Everyone is praying for him and I hope he proves the vets wrong.

![]() Assmussen's a phucking crank.
I'm not pleased about this. Hope he makes it and gets sent out to the pasture for the rest of his days. |

![]() After what I heard back in the spring I was rather stunned that he was brought back this summer. I expected him to be retired. Yeah I'll reserve comments about Asmussen.
