Default Rodeo Deaths

There were two rodeo deaths on Saturday. One guy was 21, one was 17. Barely got two sentences in the local fish wrap here on a Tuesday.

A horse breaks down and that's all we see from the news outlets. I wonder how many breakdowns occur in rodeo? Seems that "sport" is much rougher on the animals than asking them to run fast on flat ground.

Two human beings died and it gets zero attention. I guess it is because they chose to put themselves in that position, so it's no big deal.

I think it gets lots of attention on a rodeo site. And it gets less attention in the rags because it is not as easily obtained nor as popular.
There are breakdowns in rodeo's and they have vets on hand just like at the horse races. Most of the breakdowns according to an acquaintance of mine who is a vet in the Corpus Christi area, are with the bulls and bucking horses. Not the animals the people are on top of.
