In the face of death this man was unselfish and with 2 weeks to live he refused to press the button for the pain killer morphine but instead opted to be alert as possible to share his dreams for his foundation with anyone that would listen.

Jimmy V was a great man with a great attitude on life. However, the games that are part of the Jimmy V Classis are awful. College b-ball is getting worse and worse every year. It is almost like watching glorified high schoolers take the court. Horrible shooting, horrible ball movement, horrible rebounding and horrible court spacing. Good thing Jimmy V was such a great man because they game he loved so much is going down the tubes.

Jimmy V was a great coach, his team did the impossible to win the championship...I watched that game and absolutely had goosebumps throughout. He will be remembered however, not for his success on the court but for the great man he was...his foundation and those supporting it have done so much already in the fight against cancer...the world lost a great man but his legacy lives on and maybe, just maybe, a cure will be found for ALL the various cancers from the research funded in his memory!

I hope you are not talking about the ND vs. K-State game last night, because ND is a basketball team who does everything well that you said these teams are horrible at. Brey is a damn good coach, and he always has his team ready and makes sure they are doing all the right things. ND is a very disciplined basketball team.

i agree, i can't watch much of it anymore. the 3 pter has ruined the game. they used to score more points without the 3's. the game has NO flow.

The game is almost gotten to the point to where you pass the ball and shoot a 19 footer. No inside game at all.

This is why the Americans have trouble in these big international tourneys. American basketball is either a 3 or a dunk. No movement, no pick and rolls etc. While the rest of the world is passing all over the place, taking high percentage shots and playing strong defense, the U.S. is either slammng or chucking. The kids today should stop watching today's NBA and get some tape of 80's basketball, then maybe they would learn a thing or two.

the 70's ucla or unc controlled fast break. indiana's motion offense and half court defense. "old" georgetown's full court defense for the entire game or the run and gun show of unlv and their pressure defense.
