We still gunna wager on whether Andruw Jones hits 31 or more home runs this year?

Well, let's see how he shows up at spring training.Wouldn't surprise me if he shows up overweight,or has a tattoo all over his face. This guy,and Kent ,will be quite a couple.I really can't believe Kent decided to come back for another year(especially with ultimate free-spirit Andruw.)Torre will have his hands full(unless they win a lot early on.)........You gunna try that Buddha filly (that was empty last Tampa Sunday) in a turf sprint?

I'll tell you who I would claim next time out, though. There is a 3 year old filly named ONEFUNSONOFAGUN,and she has the best desire I have seen from a horse in a long time. Not the most talented, but she is all business.Every race she has been in she has been given everything she can possibly give.Even when she ran 4th,it was because Talamo didn't try to save a thing.Just let her run off,and she was empty top stretch, but was only beat for 2nd place very late. That is an amazingly tough-minded horse. They named her well.

BB was claimed from Chuck today. You're going to have to train another one of his horses now Scuds.

Do you really not like the guy Scuds?
I do not follow baseball that closely anymore
but I just remember constant highlights of him
running down just about everything in CF...

He saved so many runs for the Braves...

So he has soured on baseball or what?

No,we don't need another low energy Atlanta Braves-type team.We needed a team guy. What you're talking about(defense n' pitching etc.) is great, but we gotta score, and I don't think he is the answer for that problem.I don't see giving him 17 mil/year for anything less than 31 home runs. So,if he hits that many, then I lose, and L.A. has actually got their moneysworth from one of these guys.It ain't like I am gunna be upset if he hits 31.That's not the case.I just don't expect it.Either he is gunna give us some production,or Canon is gunna buy a pick 6 ticket.I will take either situation.Just a guy who knows his team, and knows what happens when these guys come here(they don't produce.)They just don't do what is hoped they will do.Hope is mainly an immature emotion.

Actually Pg,

He's been known to be in Bobby Cox's doghouse quite a few times for his lack of hustle on the field.

Too bad.
Made for good highlights.
So maybe he enters the Dodger
Doghouse.

...have not really kept up.

Cox stated many times Jones is the best centerfielder he has ever seen play the game.

He also pulled him out in the middle of an inning when he dropped a routine flyball (he was trying an always fashionable basket catch) his rookie or second yr in Atlanta, so your point is well taken.

Went to the game yesterday and it was amazing in every way. However, I found it quite odd to see Steve Finley in a Dodger uniform standing next to Duke Snider in CF during the pregame "50th ann." ceremony.

Sad situation...Jones,at his age and with his fading stats, wasn't the answer to juan Pierre! Bring back Campanis!

He's warming up.He has hit 2 deep balls the last 2 nights.Cold Ocean air kept them in the house.Should have both been caught, but somehow they botched one(charitable triple.) Tough house to hit them out of at night(unless ya simply throw a horrible fastball right down the middle...Saito say oh no no!)

Default Bursting Bubbles

An MRI revealed fluid and torn cartilage in Andrew Jones' right knee.

Torre said that Jones would be out until at least Friday due to the injury. Possible chance that Arthroscopic surgery would be needed fork Jones. This would keep him out until July.

Arthroscopic Surgery could be a potential MVP candidate for the Dodgers this year.
