Default capping 101 part 2 "THE TRIP"

watching races .. alot of them will make you a better handicaper..true or false... false ..if you dont know what your looking at then you are lost..a trip where a horse encountered a horrible trip but everyone and the drf saw it..was blocked in the str and had a ton of horse.. wont make you much money next out..btw and others can attest that seeing the small problems during the start /turns/and str can turn out to be a goldmine....loss of ground ,checking, and trouble will make you a good bit of money..even a winner who really had to overcome alot is good to notice... ive got one if you take the time to go w the replay..

gs park weds 16th race 4 pp 7 american boarder....he was the winner but i think if he moved up in class i may bet em big.. the end of the race is close but..he was much the best........now im not the best at this but its a good part of my play..w lists are great to have.. anyone else have somthing to add

Interesting take on a horse that won a race that fell apart, off ridiculously fast fractions (assuming they're correct, which is a huge assumption on the GP turf), with a last move. This was yet another race where Ariel Smith moved prematurely. Hard to believe trainers continue to ride this guy. He's got the circle early wide move down pat. The problem is that unless his horse isn't tons the best, it doesn't win AND it gets used alot more than it needs to be. Unfair, a nice best at 19:1 was UNFAIRLY used by Smith, to say the least.

Did the same thing to Gianna's Reprized and Lethal Quality yesterday.

Fair enough. Too bad GP doesn't split the last quarter; would be interesting to see whether they slowed down or accelerated the last 1/8th.

Default Trips where you can make money are often pretty subtle.

A horse that is starting to wind up but get's caught in traffic. Maybe not a block or a steady but signs of a horse that was eager and got momentarily discouraged. Also where there is trouble and the horse does not quit and get a minor award.

Then you have to watch em and hope that the DRF does not make much of a mention. One of my best hits of late was a horse that was winding, clearly got shut off, and the DRF line said...bid flattened.

Next time out at HOL with Rafael on board no less went off at over 10-1

I'm a novice but that was particularly satisfying.. like oh my god this this horse is going to roll and the public does not know it..... yes........
