Default Pat's Hangover Picks and diary Aqueduct 1/27

Had a great time at Estreetposse's house yesterday. The beer was flowing and so was the cash at times. Instead of trying to beat favorites, I played them over what I thought were live longshots. Ginger Punch over an overlayed Peach Flambe made for a nice triple combination. Anyway, let's bet some horses and have some fun. Feel free to throw in any comments.

Aqueduct Race 1

3-Alyssa the Dancer - Likely favorite. Last seen sprinting in October. Winner 5.60
Two beautiful workouts coming in. Can she get the
lead? Or better yet? does she need the lead?

6-Heavenly Ballad- Highest Beyer at the distance. Should be put right on 3rd
the lead.

5-All About- I think this one is a live longshot. Here's why. After breaking 2nd
maiden in December '06 she didn't handle the step up in class.
After that an attempt at stretching out was no good, so then it
off to the turf where she didn't run horribly. She was layed off
until last month where she was right on the lead but she bled.
If Demola has the bleeding thing figured out, this one could give
you a run for your money.

The Play

$5 WPS 5 63.75
$3 Exacta 3-6/5 207
$1 Triple 3-6/3-6-5-2/All $1 200

Thanks Guys!!! They were busting my ass down to OTB minutes before the race as I was touting that horse. They weren't saying much as I left. It was a bomb, but a live one. Great start to the day!!!!!

Well at least I was right about Garcia. The Billy Turner horse did pique my interest, especially with the last work out.
