Default GP 7 (2/7): Distorted Humor firsters

Distorted Humor firster discussed by McLaughlin earlier tonight on ATR drew wide in a 6f MSW... Keep Laughing is a full brother of MSW It's No Joke, though their dam did some of her best running on the grass. Obviously had some issues selling for just $85k..

Understatement, from Pletcher, is half to the good Roar Emotion and cost $1,050,000 at KEE in 2006..

It's a ten horse field with nine firsters......what could possibly be a less interesting betting race?

I'm a little confused by the happenings down at GP. Seems to me, the same TURF horses that were running at SAR this past summer are all at GP this winter. So, why do we get a race like Thursday's 8th once every 2 weeks? Need the focus be on claiming races? That's what TAM is for.

The same applies to the dirt horses.

Why isn't the racing secretary carding races for these horses?

I actually love betting a race with a bunch of firsters. Playing a race without any past performances can be fun.
I like relying on only pedigrees, trainer trends, workouts, etc for a change. It is certainly a whole different type of handicapping, but I rather enjoy it.

I enjoy looking at BOXSCORES rather than actually watching sporting events.

Oh, well I don't do that very often, so I try to find other ways to enjoy myself in this game.
