what happened to Day Pass? Chart says clipped heals. Not much other than that? Hope he's not another Darley gone bad after exchanging trips to Dubai and running for team Godolphin.

While his ride wasn't the best, and assuming that he wasn't injured when he clipped heels, this was just a POORLY PREPARED horse. He ABSOLUTELY COLLAPSED in the stretch. Compare his trip to, say, Gstaad's, and you get a sense of how poorly he ran.

Nonetheless, he'll probably bounce back next out at 3:5 with a winning effort. That's the way things are done in this game.

I was hoping when Ariel made the boneheaded move of going on the rail, in a race where the inside speed is going to come back, that he/she would clip heels and fall off the horse and have a non-life threatening injury that would put her/him out of the game for a few weeks.

Just a horrendous rider.

Nothing personal but after watching Smith ride these past few months, the only way I can make sense of what he does is to assume that he's RETARDED.

I think there need to be SPECIAL races, the way we have SPECIAL OLYMPICS. And the good thing is, unlike the special olympics, you probably wouldn't need to look past the present jockey colony at most tracks to get jocks for these races.
